Tell Your Local Papers: We Need the Senate to Support Our Clean Energy Future

Thumbs up, thumbs downSen. Murkowski's "Dirty Air Act" resolution -- which would've crippled our ability to use the Clean Air Act to crack down on America's biggest climate polluters -- was defeated in the Senate by a vote of 53-47. But it's horrifying that the Senate would even think of giving Big Oil and Dirty Coal a bailout while millions of gallons of oil are still gushing into the Gulf. Clearly, polluters have a stranglehold on our elected officials, and our leaders are stunningly out of touch when it comes to our energy and climate crisis.

Take this opportunity to tell your local newspaper's editors that America deserves a Senate that will defend the Clean Air Act and a clean energy economy. Tell your paper to commend senators for their vote against Murkowski and to call out those who voted for Big Oil and Dirty Coal.
